Pastor Mike comes to
CBC after pastoring for several years in southern Illinois. He and his wife Christina have two children – Joseph and Hannah. They have been married since June 29, 1996. Having come to Christ at the age of 17, Pastor Mike’s desire is to enthusiastically, passionately, accurately and expositionally proclaim the truths of God’s Word and the glory of Jesus Christ. Along with his pastoral duties, he enjoys dates with his wife, time with his family, reading, Biblical counseling, writing, sports, and getting to know the people of CBC.

Gerald W. (Jerry) VanHooser

Pastor VanHooser is a graduate of Baptist Bible College in Pennsylvania. He has served the Lord for over 30 years in vocational Christian ministry. He and his wife Sherry came to Calvary in May of 2005. The VanHoosers have one child: Brandt who is an associate pastor in Quincy, Illinois.

Pastor Matt came to CBC in 2005 to serve as Youth Pastor immediately after graduating from Cedarville University. Pastor Matt was married to Marcee in 2005 and they now have the priviledge of spending all their anniversaries at Sr. High Camp at IRBC! Could there be a more romantic anniversary dinner than eating Potato Casserole with 400 sweaty teenagers? I think not. Pastor Matt loves spending time at home with his wife Marcee and son Titus, who is just now walking all over the place. They are eagerly expecting a little girl come January. Pastor Matt LOVES teaching teens from God's Word. One of his favorite things about being Youth Pastor is being able to help teens grow in thier walk with Christ, especially in the environments of Camp and Mission Trips.

Pastor Davis is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary. He pastored 35 years before retiring, and in 2000 he and his wife, Mary Lou, joined Calvary Baptist Church.

Sherry has served at Calvary Baptist Church since May 2005. She is director of ladies’ ministries, host of the Mom’s Heart Matters radio program and a biblical counselor.
