Why Study about God’s Attributes?

You may ask the question why undertake a study about thecharacteristics or attributes of God? After all, don’t we need somethingmore relevant to modern living? A. W. Tozer  answered  that  question by  stating: “What comes into ourminds when we think about God is the most important thing about us."

Our  knowledge of or lack of knowledge regarding God affects everything that we  do. Women fill many roles in life: daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, employee, student, etc. However, our roles do not define who we are. Rather, an important biblical truth is that God has made us His image-bearers. What does that mean exactly? How can I carry out God’s plan and purpose for my life?

In the coming semester of Bible study, theG.I.F.T. class will study what God has to sayabout Himself in the Bible. Since the onlyway to know God is by what He has revealed of himself through Jesus and thescriptures we will make the Word of God our textbook.

This study will run from January --- mid-May.

For this class, please bringYour bible, a 5.5 x 8.5 Three-ring binder, and a learning attitude.
